There is no formula for the perfect Email. Authentic and honest messaging works…

Email is emerging as one of the latest marketing strategies that businesses are using to reach out their prospects over the web.

The key to Email Marketing is persuading your recipients to click through your Emails.

So, how do you get your prospects click through your Emails?

Personalizing your Emails with data driven insights is usually the cupid to your customer’s heart. Once your customers start expressing interest, welcome them to actively engage with your brand and thereby establish a never ending relationship for a lifetime.

Email is actually married to data, a match made in heaven as described by Jessica Edmondson in her post on Email Marketing.

She describes some of the things that we have been doing wrong till now and how a few tweaks can help to bring about a huge impact.

You can work on developing Email Marketing strategies by connecting it with your first romantic date.

No one wants their first date to be a flop ever. Think of all the possible plans that you will put into action to impress your crush. To start a new beginning. To define a new relationship.

The same rule works out in Email Marketing:

A few things to consider:

  • We have already discussed this point: you need to personally address your prospect, unless it is never going to persuade them to click through.
  • Express your interest to learn about their preferences. This is one of the first steps towards building trust.

Read on through Jessica Edmondson’s article to find out more about how effectively you can use Email marketing for building trust.

#2. Have you noticed Twitter’s New Algorithmic Timeline?

Twitter has been up in the news repeatedly for a variety of good and bad reasons. We have been even hit with rumors that Twitter is soon going to bid goodbye from the web.

It seemed a bit odd when #RIP Twitter made headlines and we couldn’t help it but feel sorry for Twitter’s fate if the rumors were to be believed just because we are all too much dependent on Twitter. It is one of the strategies that webmasters and bloggers implement to achieve maximum outreach.

The latest update from Twitter will make up for the timeline that has been boring us for sometime now. This is more inclined to fulfilling the user’s interests.

It works something like this:

If you have not logged into your Twitter account for a while and have missed out all the important tweets then here is something that you didn’t know.

Twitter’s Algorithmic Timeline will bring you tweets that you missed out while you were away. The whole point is that these tweets are relevant to you. This is something of interest to you rather than boring you with latest tweets as usual.

Also, in a few weeks time get ready for the most delicious Twitter timeline experience of all times.

You’ll get a new pop-up notification across your Android, iOS and web that says “Never miss out an important tweet”.

Get a deeper insight into Twitter’s Algorithmic Timeline here. In this article, published over the Wired, author David Pierce talks about how Twitter’s new feature update differs from that of Facebook and more.

#3. Attention Content Writers- this is for you!!!

3Edits

Content is the king and as always our dear content writers are struggling to curate content that is compelling, attractive and engaging.

I will introduce you across some of these simple edits:

  1. Put up questions that will fetch the answer as “Yes”.
  2. Whitespaces. Double tap your Enter key after every 1-3 sentences.
  3. Use bullets to highlight important points.
  4. Use “because” frequently
  5. Sentences that start with “Remember”, “Picture this”, or “Imagine” have a great impact
  6. Cut down the number of adverbs. Doesn’t sound great!
  7. Call-to-Action that will persuade the reader to take an action.
  8. The key benefits should be highlighted in bold.
  9. Communication in second person generates a better response.
  10. Zero Passive Sentences. Transform passive voices into active.

These are the tweaks that will help you to curate better content that people are looking for. You can read more about this in an article published by Eddie Shleyner on HubSpot.

Whaaattt? Yes, it’s true. With the large number of updates rolled out by Google, here is something that will not go too well with SEO Companies and Webmasters.

Google will continue to offer certifications for AdSense, Analytics, Adwords and more… But, Google will not provide SEO certifications.

Time and again SEO certifications has come up as a topic of discussion, but each time Google dropped the plan.

Barry Schwartz discusses in detail about Google’s decision to not provide SEO Certifications in his article published on Search Engine Land.

Also, here you can find out why Google does not provide SEO Certifications.

Yes…Instagram has confirmed that it will be rolling out Multiple Account Switching feature. All set to roll out this week.

What’s more interesting?

  • You can add around 4 accounts to the Instagram app which makes a total of 5 accounts. The option will be available in the profile settings section.
  • You can switch between accounts with a tap on your username at the top of the profile screen.
  • For people who manage multiple Twitter or Facebook Pages, their Profile Photo will automatically appear as a reminder of the account they are logged into at present.

You can read in detail about Instagram’s multiple account feature here in this article published by Matt Southern on Search Engine Journal.
